Studio
At Ma-Kōbō, the practice of repair extends beyond the material.
Alongside ceramics, a small body of written work has emerged. These stories explore many of the same ideas found in Kintsugi: fracture, memory, time, and the quiet work of restoration.
Each work is published as part of Ma-Kōbō Studio Editions.
Echoes of Na’ar
Na’ar
A narrative work exploring identity, rupture, and return.
Set within a shifting landscape of memory and myth, Na’ar follows the quiet transformations that occur when something breaks, and is not immediately repaired.

Elsa McClaren
A series of writings centered on interior life, perception, and the subtle fractures that shape a person over time. These works move between reflection and story, tracing the quiet spaces where change takes root.
These works are released slowly, in rhythm with the studio.
