Hand + Table Gatherings

Learning Kintsugi is not simply acquiring a technique, it is entering a rhythm. Each repair unfolds slowly, guided by layers of natural lacquer and time itself. Students quickly discover that the finishing, in gold, silver, or other metals, is only the final gesture.
The true practice is in the waiting, the sanding, the patience between each layer.

At Ma-Kōbō, I teach hon-kintsugi, the traditional method, in small groups.
These workshops invite you to work with your hands, to slow down, and to experience the quiet beauty of repair.

Alongside Kintsugi, I host seasonal gatherings under the theme Hands + Table.
These gatherings bring people together around craft and food: sewing, incense-making, bookbinding, and more.
Each gathering ends with a shared meal, because the table is as important as the work itself.

Workshops are offered seasonally in both Colorado and Costa Rica.

Space is limited to preserve the pace of the work.
